I used Schultz Tax & Accounting for the first time in tax year 2018. Jake was accommodating to MY schedule, unlike many other larger tax companies. He went through the tax return process step by step, while also giving detailed explanations of each step. Everything was straight to the point. Zero hidden fees and zero surprises. The best thing about this, is that Jake did all of this while being 2 hours away. Schultz Tax & Accounting has my business for life.
When Jake did my tax return, he asked me how much rent I pay. I didn't really know why he asked. It turns out that there is a rent credit on my Michigan tax return that I have been missing for years. He picked up my documents, completed the return, called me twice to make sure his numbers were accurate, and then dropped off the final return. I was so happy my daughter referred me to him.
When Jake did my 2018 tax return, he actually prepared 3 returns. I wanted to make sure that filing "Married Filing Joint" gave me the highest refund. Jake did the MFJ return, and also ran a "Married Filing Separate" return for my husband and I. In the end, we filed Married Filing Joint. I was really pleased that he was able to put my mind at ease. Had I used a different company, I wouldn't have known where to start. I'll definitely use Schultz Tax & Accounting again this year.

Client Privacy is sacred to me. I never give your information out to anyone, unless it is the IRS or another taxing authority and I have your explicit permission to do so.
All tax preparation and tax planning services cost $250 per hour.
This is defined by time I am “in” your return, and actively working on your case.
My office is located at 211 N. Center St. Sebewaing, MI 48759.
Or, if you don’t live nearby and are interested in working with me remotely, I would be more than willing and able accommodate you.
I charge $100 per hour for general consultations.
The charge for business organization services, such as starting an LLC or non-profit corporation, is a flat fee of $200 and this fee includes 1) your name search, 2) drafting the articles 3) drafting of the operating agreement and 4) EIN application.
As an Enrolled Agent, I have unlimited representation rights before the IRS. In the event of an audit, we will be prepared. This is the essence of why it is so important to be accurate, ask the right questions and perform the due diligence while completing an engagement for a client. Record keeping is key. When we do the job right the first time, the IRS will be pleased to find that every position taken on your return will be one with a reasonable basis.
Assuming I charged you for the preparation of the original return, I will prepare any necessary amendments or correspondence to remedy the issue, free of charge.
